Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 1 box puff pastry 2 sheets, thawed
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg for egg wash

Cream Cheese Layer

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup

Glaze

  • 2/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp heavy cream or milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Unfold puff pastry and cut into 8 rectangles.
  • Place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • In one bowl, mix pumpkin puree, sugar, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla.
  • In another bowl, beat together cream cheese layer ingredients until smooth.
  • Spoon 1-2 tbsp pumpkin mixture onto each pastry, then top with 1-2 tbsp cream cheese mixture.
  • Brush edges of pastry with egg wash.
  • Bake 18-20 min or until golden brown.
  • While pastries cool slightly, whisk glaze ingredients until smooth.
  • Drizzle over danishes and enjoy warm!
