Ingredients
  

  • 1 C Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 C Hot Water
  • 6 Tbsp Salted Butter
  • 1/2 C Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • pinch Salt

Instructions
 

  • start off by adding 1 cup of white sugar to a pot
  • toast the sugar on medium heat until it because an amber color + lower the heat and add in 1/4 cup hot water (if you use cold water the sugar will seize and crystallize) - if there are some crystals you can add in an additional 1/4 cup hot water
  • once the sugar is melted add in 6 tosp salted butter and mix until the butter is melted
  • remove the sauce from the heat and add in 1/2 cup heavy cream, 1 tsp vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt
  • mix and pour into a container

the sauce will thicken as it cools
sauce should be good for at least 2-3 weeks if not more!
