Equipment

  • 1 Sauce Pan
  • 1 Glass Bottle or Jar

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Apples
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup apple juice or cider
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp vanilla or vanilla bean paste

Instructions
 

  • Add everything in a sauce pan except the vanilla.
  • Combine everything and let it come to a boil.
  • Mash apples to extract extra flavor.
  • Once brought to a boil, turn down to simmer for 15-20 minutes or until thickened.
  • Remove from heat and let cool for a bit.
  • Add vanilla and let cool completely.
  • Store in jar or bottle.
  • Store for up to 2 weeks.
