Simple & Delicious Apple Dumplings
Ingredients
- 3/4 C White Sugar
- 1 C Butter *Unsalted
- 3/4 C Brown Sugar *I use light
- 2 Cans Crescent Roll Dough
- 2 Lg Apples *Peeled, Cored into 8 slices
- 1 Tbsp Vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Ground Nutmeg
- pinch Salt
- 12 oz Lemon Lime Soda *I used sprite
- 2 Tbsp Whiskey or Brandy *Optional
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Heat sugar, butter, cinnamon, and vanilla in a saucepan over medium heat until sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat; set aside.
- Divide crescent roll dough into 16 triangles. Roll 1 apple quarter with 1 dough triangle; arrange in the prepared pan. Pour butter mixture over wrapped apples; pour soda on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, 40 to 45 minutes.
